About

History

Sri Siva Vishnu Temple (SSVT) began in 1976, with the concept of bringing Hindus together, and has become a place that brings together Hindu customs and heritage with values of community and volunteerism.

The four pillars of SSVT are:

1. Religious Services

2. Educational Services

3. Cultural Services

4. Outreach and Volunteer Services

Education at SSVT started in early 1990s with a few volunteers teaching young children shlokas and stories from Puranas & Itihasas. Over time, with appropriate training and dedicated volunteers, the education program grew into multiple classes that impart Hindu dharmic traditions. All classes are taught by qualified and committed volunteers who have built the  education programs to serve the community.  The classes are free of charge - donations to support the education programs are welcome!
